The backstamp is stylecraft, Fashion Tableware by Midwinter, Staffordshire, England.
 
 
Stylecraft tableware became very popular in the 1950's when it was first launched.  It was seen as a refreshing change after the war and depression years.  It was 'modern' in its design, each piece being shaped like a TV screen.
 
Stylecraft had quite a cult following.  Today it is very collectable and highly sought after.
